Did you read the title of this post and start singing a merry little tune about ribs?
Funny how that works.
It’s like when my kids ask for their $5 allowance, I suddenly get hungry for a sub sandwich.
Anyway, back to the ribs.
BBQ ribs are most certainly in the Top Ten of any Father’s Day dinner. We recently had the chance to sample a brand new flavor of ribs at a certain restaurant.
You know the one.
Start singing that song, and then click on through to my giveaway page for a chance to win a gift card for a dad’s night out at that very same restaurant.

Chili’s is often overlooked when selecting a restaurant around here but when we run out of ideas or all can’t agree on one place, that’s where we go. Some of their stuff is a few light years away from being healthy but they are consistently flavorful and there is something for everyone one the menu. Living in Texas and loving barbecue, I wouldn’t think to order that style of cooking/prep at a national chain but, based on your recommendation, I may (I said _may_) give it a try.
Cheers,
Richard
Restaurants with the kids are always tricky for us because of Katie’s gluten/casein allergy. She generally gets a plain burger (no bun, no condiments, no cheese), while her brother, Caleb, is the corndog king. They aren’t much for variety, sadly. (Me, however? I can count the things I won’t eat on two fingers. Liver. Brussel Sprouts.)
Mmmm…Chili’s!

Believe it or not, we don’t even have a Chilis in St. Cloud. But I’m in Mpls all the time and would LOVE a free dinner. Thanks Phil!
My older one will usually choose something that I could make for a fraction of the restaurant price, like Mac n Cheese, mainly because the name if familiar to her. If we chose something for her, she would totally eat it though. She eats steak, artichoke, asparagus, hummus, sushi, shrimp scampi…all sorts of stuff that I don’t think most kids her age (3) usually eats.

Well my 12 -year old daughter likes to order steak (we want to ensure that she is not a cheap date), my 8 year old son will go with an abult size chicken fingers platter, and my 6 year old son likes to rock the mozzarella sticks appetizer with some mac n’ cheese. How that doesn’t plug him up for awhile is beyond me!
When ever I think of Chili’s I always think of the movie office space & start counting “flair”!
I would love to try chilis. The thing about my family is when we go to restaurants the kids always order pizza, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese or hamburger. Things that could be made at home with ease. They never want to try something new.

We love Chili’s restaurants, the kids love that they can choose from a variety of menu items and side items. I love that my kids can get whatever they want to, for example grilled chicken sandwich with mandarin oranges or loaded mashed potatoes. Or they can get a cheese quesidilla with steamed brocolli. They have such a great variety for the kids, and my kids love the atmosphere at Chili’s. I however, love the bacon they put on the big mouth burgers, and the crispy onion strips. YUMMY! And we all absolutely love their famous chicken crispers, they are the best in town.
Chili’s is our favorite family restaurant! Once the kids turned 3, we let them pick where they want to eat for their birthday dinner. We were sure it was going to be some fast food place, but they each picked Chili’s and have every birthday since! It is reasonably priced and has a good variety of food for any appetite. It’s also our favorite Date Night spot – can’t beat the chips & margaritas!
My kids would probably order cheese pizza or burgers(GASP!) too! Baby Back ribs rock my Hubby’s world & he LOVES Chili’s!!!!
Awesome giveaways=)
Chicken nuggets or hot dogs all the way (occasionally cheese pizza)!! It’s so hard to get them to eat real food, hopefully they will grow out of this stage soon!
